Beijing Municipal Library has been named in 's 2025 list of 100 Greatest Places to Travel, becoming the first cultural landmark in the city to win this honor. Time Magazine selected Beijing Library as the "most anticipated public library", praising its architecture integrating elements of Chinese ginkgo trees and the millennium-old Grand Canal, its three-star China Green Building Evaluation Certification, the world's largest single reading space, China's largest intelligent three-dimensional book repository, and over 3,000 annual events.
